คำชี้แจง

จากกระแสความสนใจในประเด็นความเท่าเทียมระหว่างเพศ (Gender Equality) ตามกรอบเป้าหมายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน ได้ถูกให้ความสำคัญในสถาบันอุดมศึกษา เพื่อสร้างความตระหนักและร่วมส่งเสริมในเรื่องสิทธิสตรี ความเสมอภาคทางเพศ และการเสริมสร้างความเป็นสากลของอุดมศึกษา และในปัจจุบันความเท่าเทียมระหว่างเพศก็เป็นประเด็นที่มีการให้ความสำคัญเป็นอย่างมาก ในการดำเนินงานของหน่วยราชการ เช่น กระทรวงพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ กระทรวงแรงงาน กระทรวงสาธารณสุข เป็นต้น รวมทั้งองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน และภาคประชาสังคม ทำให้ผู้สำเร็จการศึกษาในด้านนี้จะได้รับบทบาทและมีโอกาสได้รับการคัดเลือกให้ปฏิบัติงานสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องกับประเด็นดังกล่าว ในสถานการณ์ที่คนรุ่นใหม่ให้ความสนใจอย่างมากกับกระแสความเสมอภาคระหว่างเพศ คณะผู้สำรวจเล็งเห็นว่าความรู้ด้านเพศภาวะศึกษาและการพัฒนา ควรที่จะเปิดกว้างให้สำหรับสมาชิกในสังคม ทั้งเพศหญิง เพศชาย และผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ (LGBTIQ+) และควรจะขยายให้ได้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะเป็นไปได้ ในอนาคตการเปิดหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาเพศภาวะศึกษาและการพัฒนา ก็จะเป็นหนทางหนึ่งในการจะเปิดกว้างและขยายองค์ความรู้ดังกล่าว เพื่อที่จะเป็นทางเลือกในการสร้างทรัพยากรมนุษย์ และเปิดเสรีให้กับทุกคนที่สนใจได้มีโอกาสเรียนรู้ อันจะเป็นวิชาพื้นฐานที่นักศึกษาสามารถนำความรู้ไปปฏิบัติในการทำงานจริง คณะผู้สำรวจจึงจัดทำแบบสำรวจความต้องการของตลาด โดยเฉพาะนักเรียนในระดับมัธยมศึกษา (ตอนปลาย) เพื่อประเมินแนวโน้มความเป็นไปได้ในการพัฒนาและเปิดหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต (เพศภาวะศึกษาและการพัฒนา) ต่อไป

Explanation

The trend of interest in the issue of gender equality, according to the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, has been given importance in higher education institutions to create awareness and promote women's rights, and gender equality and strengthen the internationalization of higher education. Nowadays, gender equality is an issue that is given great importance in the operations of government agencies such as the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Public Health, etc., and non-governmental organizations and civil society. As a result, graduates in this field will have roles and could be selected to perform important work related to the aforementioned issues. In a situation where the new generation is very interested in the trend of gender equality, the survey team sees that knowledge of gender studies and development should be open to all members of society, including women, men, and LGBTIQ+ people, and should be extended to the greatest extent possible. In the future, opening the Bachelor of Arts program in Gender Studies and Development would be one way to open and expand such knowledge. To be an alternative for creating human resources and open for everyone interested to have the opportunity to learn. It will be a fundamental subject where students can put their knowledge into practice in real work. Therefore, the survey team conducted a market demand survey of especially students at the secondary school level to assess the possibility of further developing and opening a Bachelor of Arts program (Gender Studies and Development).
