1.	ให้เป็นไปตามประกาศมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ เรื่องการรับสมัครเข้าศึกษาต่อในแต่ละปีการศึกษา
2.	สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับไม่ต่ำกว่าปริญญาตรี ได้แก่ พลศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์การกีฬา วิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ สาธารณสุข พลานามัย สุขศึกษา เป็นต้น
3.	เป็นบุคลากรทางการกีฬาหรือมีประสบการณ์เกี่ยวข้องกับการกีฬา ได้แก่ ผู้จัดการทีม ผู้ฝึกสอนกีฬา นักกีฬา เป็นต้น
4.	คะแนนเฉลี่ยระดับปริญญาตรี ไม่ต่ำกว่า 2.50
5.	คุณสมบัติอื่นนอกเหนือจากนี้ให้อยู่ในดุลยพินิจของคณะกรรมการบริหารหลักสูตรประจำสาขาวิชา
